The post holder will play a key role in proactively developing the effective use and interpretation of information to support Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber (RDaSH) NHS Foundation Trust.
The role encompasses collation, analysis and interpretation of information and reporting requests across a wide variety of operational services, development of routine and ad hoc reports presented in a clear and understandable format and supporting managers and clinicians in defining their information requirements to meet strategic, operational and clinical needs
To provide support a high quality information management service and engage with clinicians, senior managers and colleagues from a wide range of teams and services to support them in their use and interpretation of information.
Business analysis of clinical and management information and reporting requests to support business planning and performance improvement.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of this post is to undertake business analysis and scoping for new information and reporting requirements
The postholder will be expected to collate, analyse and interpret clinical and management information requests from a wide variety of sources and across a range of operational services
The postholder will work with tools such SQL, Power BI and SSRS and will need to proactively engage with colleagues in the Trust and other key contacts to achieve a shared understanding of information requirements and support the development of effective working relationships.
The postholder will be expected to provide technical expertise to staff within the Information team and other colleagues as appropriate on a range of topics, for example, highly complex queries to extract datasets, creating reports, using advanced features of reporting systems/software

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Degree Level Qualification
- Equivalent NHS Experience
- Evidence of continuing studies or professional development
Experience
Essential criteria- Appropriate Demonstrable experience in information-related business analysis role
- Experience of presenting information in written reports so that it can be easily understood
- Experience of pulling together data from a wide range of sources and presenting information in a meaningful way

Knowledge
Essential criteria- Knowledge of reporting tools
- Understanding of NHS data models, structures, data dictionary and information flow
- Experience in NHS commissioning data sets
Skills
Essential criteria- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload, liaise and negotiate with ‘customers’ to agree and adjust work plans
- Ability to deal with broad ranging requests for information and assimilate into clearly defined work areas
- Experience using Microsoft SQL
- Ability to focus in stressful situations and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience of Power BI
- Ability to write clear and concise technical and user oriented documentation
