We are looking to appoint a part-time Reception Teacher (2.5 days per week, forms part of a job share) with a passion for Early Years education. This is a key role, ideal for a specialist with experience in the EYFS, who will nurture our youngest learners as they transition from nursery and explore all that our Pre-Prep has to offer.
You will work alongside a Teaching Assistant and form part of a supportive, close-knit team committed to building confidence, independence, and a love of learning in every child, while celebrating their uniqueness.
Desirable Personal Qualities and Experience:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status with proven Early Years teaching experience;
- Has a deep understanding of the EYFS Framework and how to deliver it creatively and effectively;
- Is an excellent communicator, warm, clear, and professional with children, parents, and colleagues alike;
- Demonstrates strong planning and classroom management skills, with the flexibility to tailor teaching to a range of abilities;
- Embraces a child-centred approach that is nurturing, inspiring and inclusive;
- Is confident in using ICT in the classroom and for administrative purposes (e.g. iSAMS, MS Office);
- Is a collaborative team member who will contribute positively to the wider life of the Pre-Prep;
- Brings energy, empathy, and a positive outlook to their teaching and relationships.
- 2 full days and 1 half day (job share), with exact days to be discussed at interview.
- Required to be in class by 7.45am, with finish time typically between 4.00pm – 4.30pm;
- Occasional attendance at events outside core hours, such as parent meetings or INSET days.
