Housekeeper & School Run Driver (term time)

Job Overview ****
We are seeking a reliable and professional Housekeeper / School Run Driver to join a household in Marston, Oxford, on a permanent basis for 15 hours/week. The household includes Oxford academics, two boys aged 8 and 5 and a Golden Retriever. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the home, and ensuring safe and timely school transportation (a parent will accompany you on school runs).The ideal candidate will also assist with the care of a family dog (not a requirement). This position offers a very competitive hourly rate, a yearly bonus, and is based on a term-time schedule (35 weeks/year).
**** Key Responsibilities ****
Housekeeping:
- Perform general cleaning tasks throughout the home, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and (daily) vacuuming
- General tidying and organisation
- Manage laundry duties including washing, folding, ironing, and putting away clothes.
School Run Driving:
- Safely transport children to/from school. A parent will accompany on school-runs.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle.
- Be punctual for pick-up and drop-off times.
- Mileage for school runs will be reimbursed at HMRC rates.
- Take the family dog on walks in the nearby fields
- Assist with feeding and general care of the dog as needed.
- Monday to Friday
- 3 days per week: 2:30pm - 5:30pm
- 2 days per week: 7:00am - 10:00am
- Proven experience as a housekeeper with excellent references
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Own car that is fully insured
- Excellent and confident driver
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the family.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A high level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check
- Hourly Rate: £23-28 per hour gross (incl. holiday pay)
- Mileage: Paid at HMRC rates for school runs
- Insurance: The candidate must have a fully insured car; any additional insurance required for business use will be covered by the employer.
- Yearly Bonus: £1,500 paid annually.
- Background Check: An Enhanced DBS check will be required, with costs covered by the employer.
