Our client, a leading further education college in Cambridge, is seeking a Lecturer in Multiskills to join their teaching team on a temporary, part-time basis. This role is to provide long-term sickness cover and offers a great opportunity to support students in developing key skills across multiple trades.
The Role:
As a Lecturer in Multiskills, you will:
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons across all levels of study.
- Focus on key trade areas such as property maintenance, plastering, and roofing.
- Support students in gaining hands-on experience and industry-relevant knowledge.
- Plan and assess both practical and theoretical lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to help students progress.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who has:
- Expertise in property maintenance, plastering, roofing, and other construction trades.
- A Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade (or equivalent industry experience).
- Strong communication and teaching skills, with a passion for developing learners.
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- The ability to engage and inspire students from a variety of backgrounds.
