Regulatory Police Solicitor Advocate or Barrister - Wiltshire/Hybrid
The Regulatory Department of my dynamic clients provides a wide spectrum of expert advice to local authorities, NHS bodies, police forces, schools, as well as organizations and individuals facing Health & Safety, criminal, and other regulatory prosecutions.They are currently seeking experienced Solicitor Advocates or Barristers to join our esteemed National Police team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of civil protective orders.
- Present cases in Magistrates' courts.
- Organize Case Manager diary and action lists.
- Draft various documents, including court applications.
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets.
- Work in accordance with Weightmans' values.
This is primarily an advocacy role, and regular attendance at court is a fundamental aspect. Candidates should be flexible for advocacy in the Wiltshire and surrounding areas.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister.
- Demonstrable experience and interest in civil protective orders.
- Proven advocacy skills with experience in Magistrates' courts.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
- Strong drafting skills for various legal documents.
- Commitment to achieving financial and chargeable targets.
- Flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to different tasks.
