Join B3Living as a Non-Executive Board Member
B3Living is a forward-thinking housing association serving the Borough of Broxbourne and surrounding areas. We own and manage more than 5,800 homes and have set an ambitious trajectory for growth to meet the housing needs of our communities.
As we look to the future, we are seeking two new Non-Executive Board Members to support our journey and provide strategic insight and challenge at an exciting time of change and progress.
We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with the following backgrounds.
Finance
Adept in financial leadership, governance, and oversight, you will bring professional financial qualifications and senior-level experience to B3Living. This expertise will help ensure strong financial resilience, sound regulatory compliance, and effective risk management.You'll bring a solid understanding of treasury management-particularly funding strategy, access to capital, and sound liquidity management. Your contribution will help safeguard our ability to invest in homes, services, and communities, ensuring sustainable financial framework that underpins our social purpose.
Development
With a background in housing development, regeneration, or property, you'll offer insight into the delivery of new homes-supporting B3Living's ambitious plans to build around 1,250 homes over the next five years. We're particularly interested in candidates with experience of large-scale residential or mixed-use development, land acquisition, or delivering partnerships.Sector-specific experience is not essential, but an appreciation for the social impact of good housing is.

Time Commitment- 12-18 days per year (including preparation, meetings, and development activities)
- Board meetings are typically held on-site in Hoddesdon, with committee meetings held virtually
- Our new HQ will open in Cheshunt, Broxbourne in 2025
- The standard term is three years, renewable for a second term (maximum six years)
Meetings typically take place on Tuesday afternoons. You'll also be expected to contribute to away days, occasional site visits, customer engagement, and training events.
