Job description

Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit experienced Door Supervisors to work in our Sporting Events Division across the Midlands. We are particularly interested to hear from Female operatives to work at venues across Birmingham and Coventry, you must be a dedicated and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor who holds a minimum Spectator Safety Level 2 Qualification, to ensure the safety and security of our event venues.

You will be the first point of contact for event attendees, responsible for maintaining order, enforcing venue policies, and providing a high level of customer service. Your role is crucial in creating a secure environment where everyone can enjoy the event without concern.

Key Responsibilities:

Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, verifying tickets or credentials, conducting searches, and preventing unauthorized access.

Crowd Management: Monitor crowd behaviour to prevent overcrowding, disturbances, or unsafe conditions, and intervene when necessary to de-escalate conflicts.
Customer Service: Provide clear and courteous communication with event attendees, offering assistance or information as needed while maintaining a professional demeanour.
Incident Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents such as conflicts, medical emergencies, or security breaches, ensuring appropriate action is taken in line with company protocols.
Compliance Enforcement: Ensure that all attendees comply with venue regulations, including age restrictions, alcohol consumption policies, and prohibited items.

Liaison with Event Staff: Work closely with event organizers, security team members, and emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents and ensure overall event safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid SIA Door Supervisor License is essential.

Valid Spectator Safety Level 2 or above Qualification is essential but can be provided
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, including attendees, staff, and emergency services.
Experience in Security at sporting events is preferred, with a strong understanding of crowd management and conflict resolution techniques.
Vigilant and Proactive: Keen observational skills with the ability to identify potential security threats and take preventative action.
Professionalism: Must maintain a calm, confident, and authoritative presence at all times, while being approachable and respectful.
