Machine Operator

My client an established provider of large-scale heating and ventilation products have an exciting new vacancy at their headquarters in Northfleet, Kent.

Due to their continued growth and success, they are expanding the production team and are looking to recruit an experienced Machine Operator to join the team.

Ideally you will have a counterbalance forklift licence and / or experience in operating a forklift truck

1. Production Quality: Operate the Spiral Forming machine to produce high-quality spirally wound tubes, ensuring tight lockseams and safe end treatment.
2. Stock Management: Maintain adequate stock levels of standard sizes and liaise with the sales office for special requirements and project orders.
3. Order Processing: Accurately process site manufacturing orders and ensure their completion to the satisfaction of the sales office.
4. Liaison: Communicate with other branches and the sales office regarding stock transfers and orders, keeping all parties informed about deliveries, shortages, and completions.
5. Raw Material Monitoring: Monitor raw material stocks and inform the Branch Manager (BM) of future requirements to avoid overstocking.
6. Maintenance and Cleanliness: Keep the production area clean and tidy, regularly remove scrap materials, and ensure tools and forming heads are properly stored.
7. Safety Compliance: Store and handle materials safely, follow spill procedures, and ensure all safety guards and emergency stop functions are operational.
8. Machine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the Spiral Forming machine, logging all tasks and reporting any issues promptly.
9. Stock Counts: Accurately count and record spiral tubes and raw materials for various stock counts and participate in annual stock takes.

Applicants would need to have machine operating experience within a production organisation and able /willing to operative a Forklift truck (training will be given)

Working Monday - Thursday 0800 - 1700 - Friday 4pm finish

Salary £27,114 + Benefits such as onsite parking and 25 days annual leave.
