Scope of work & the value you will add to our customers:
- The Delivery Manager will contribute to delivery of the Data Strategy by taking responsibility to drive deliverables across the Chief Data Office.
- Work directly with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver changes.
- Effectively manage actions, risks and issues together with project financials.
- Ensuring that solutions holistically cover the changes required across people, process and technology.
- You will be working closely with developers, testers and other colleagues helping them to efficiently deliver change in an agile way.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage specific projects across the Chief Data Office with a focus on data management and data science and analytics.
- Own the delivery roadmap for all change projects across data management and data science and analytics.
- Lead the prioritisation work and work with stakeholders across the bank to manage priorities and expectations.
- Collaborate with the development and test leads for more technical change and plan sprints to maximize value.
- Manage the high-level estimation process working towards predictable delivery against story point estimations.
- Lead project reporting and governance, through reporting in via Transformation and PMO.
- Effectively manage actions, risks and issues together with project financials.
- Deliver change in line with governance expectations, in the form of project documentation and processes.
- Act as a ‘bridge’ between the business and IT, ensuring there is effective communication between both.
- Bring a can-do attitude and a willingness to support all colleagues.
- Create a culture of teamwork and collaboration towards a common goal.
Requirements
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience in data related delivery and transformation across data governance and management and data science and analytics.
- Experience of working on the delivery of both business and IT change.
- A pragmatic individual with a good balance of delivery focus and strategic thinking.
- Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity in a complex and diverse environment.
- Experience of managing resources within a technical environment.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies/techniques and their strengths / weaknesses.
- An excellent communicator with the gravitas to operate at all levels of the bank.
- Evidence of activity as a change agent to improve ways of working to achieve better outcomes for the department.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in Financial Services/regulated environments or an interest in financial services sufficient to be able to quickly understand business requirements and priorities.
- Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity in a complex and diverse environment.
- Consultancy background may be beneficial.
- Project Management qualification e.g., PMP, Prince2.
