Business Analyst - Scunthorpe

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst experienced in delivering business and technology transformation initiatives across internal and external client environments. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, a deep understanding of business analysis frameworks, and a track record of working on large-scale transformation and change programmes, ideally in partnership with local government organisations.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand and analyse business needs, issues, and opportunities.
- Lead a rolling plan of business-led, digitally enabled change to transform the efficiency of client organisations, how it works with external stakeholders, and with Public Sector clients, how it delivers value to citizens.
- Perform business process re-engineering, identifying inefficiencies and designing future-state processes.
- Gather, document, and manage clear and concise business and functional requirements, particularly to support digital transformation.
- Evaluate and propose solutions aligned with business objectives and technical constraints.
- Support delivery teams in translating requirements into workable outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to validate requirements and process designs.
- Contribute to benefits realisation tracking and change impact assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, testers, pre- sales and other stakeholders to ensure solution alignment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BA practices.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of business analysis experience, including large transformation/change programmes.
- Experience working with blue-chip clients and/or Public Sector contracts.
- Proficient in business process modelling, re-engineering, and gap analysis.
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills (e.g., user stories, use cases, process flows).
- Familiarity with a variety of tools and techniques (e.g., SWOT, MoSCoW, Root Cause Analysis, BPMN).
- Ability to work confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from operational to executive.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- BCS/ISEB Business Analysis certification or equivalent.
- Agile/Scrum certification is desirable.
