A highly reputable SEN school in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join their permanent team from January 2025. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with diverse SEN profiles
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for each child
- Create an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment
- Implement and adapt individual education plans (IEPs)
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Proven experience working with SEN students in a school setting
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behavior management techniques
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
