Hours: 35 hours per week
Term-time only – 39 weeks per annum
Salary scale: £30,099 full time Equivalent salary (GST - F2 Pay Scale)
£25,390.38 pro rata actual salary
Ashley C of E Primary School is recruiting a dedicated, enthusiastic Wraparound Care Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Breakfast and After School Clubs, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
Whilst creativity, fun and imagination are all key elements of this role, it is essential that you have experience of working with children and are able to build a rapport with children from Reception to Year 6.We are looking for a manager who is passionate about having a positive impact on children through art, play and well-being activities. To allow the children to start and end their day, feeling calm and regulated ahead of school or at home time.

Job context:
Ashley C of E Primary School three form entry primary school in Walton on Thames. The Breakfast Club and After School Club is available as part of the childcare element of it’s extended school provision. The Breakfast Club and After School Club is income generated.
Parents pay fees to send their children to the club.
The Headteacher and senior leadership team oversee all areas related to the delivery of school strategy. The After School Club Manager oversees the delivery and provision of the After School Club childcare. The manager is assisted by the School Business Manager, Deputy Manager and the After School Club play workers.
Key responsibilities:- Designated Safeguarding Lead (training can be provided) for the provision and ensure school safeguarding policies are adhered to by staff.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all the children, with a safe, fun and stimulation environment for all children who attend Wrap Around Care.
- Be responsible for the daily management of Breakfast and After School Club, site resources, requirements and ensure the health and safety of all staff in the club, including accurate keeping of registers, first aid, medicines, risk assessments, security and fire regulations.
- Team management, to include staff scheduling, recruitment and training.
- Be the main point of contact for parents/carers and management of bookings and registers.
- Develop quality play and activities. Ensure the engagement of all children, specific to their individual needs, through a variety of play opportunities which are tailored to different age groups.
- Monitor the quality of the provision, which also takes account of the Early Years framework.
- Review, evaluate and shape policy and procedures in relation to the changing needs of community and legislation. Maintain up-to-date training.
- Ensure that a suitable menu of refreshments is available and liaise with the caterer.
- Ensure understanding and appropriate implementation of all the school’s policies and procedures.
- Paediatric First aid (Training can be provided)
- Liaise with the Head Teacher to ensure effective communication with the strategic body of the school to allow for the development of the After School Club, including planning for recruitment and training of the staff.
- Work with the School Business Manager to ensure the provision operates within the generated budget and all parental fees are paid on time. Ensure the best use is made of resources to benefit the children and families.
