Position: 1:1 Teaching AssistantLocation: Newport
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: Starting at £12.90 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting a pupil with Additional Learning Needs and behavioral challenges within the mainstream classroom. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized assistance that fosters a positive and engaging learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a pupil on a 1:1 basis, ensuring their engagement and understanding in all classroom activities.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other staff to create a nurturing learning environment.
- Encourage personal growth and development by fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere.
What We’re Looking For:
- A resilient and compassionate individual who can navigate challenging behavior with patience and understanding.
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- A Child-only DBS certificate, registered on the Update System.
- Two professional references covering the past 24 months.
