Complex Care Healthcare Assistant - Crewe

Un1ty Group are a registered healthcare agency who provide temporary health and nursing staff to a number of our clients nationwide.
We are working with a fantastic care provider who are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with complex health needs.
We are currently seeking an experienced Complex Care Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join Un1ty Group on a temporary basis offering flexibility and variable shifts.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and ensuring the well-being of our clients service users.
Key Responsibilities:
- PEG Feeding: Administer enteral nutrition through a Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) tube, ensuring proper hygiene and maintenance of the site.
- Tracheostomy Care: Provide comprehensive tracheostomy care, including cleaning, suctioning, and monitoring respiratory status.
- Wound Dressing: Perform wound care and dressing changes, following best practices to promote healing and prevent infection.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications accurately and safely, adhering to prescribed schedules and documenting appropriately.
- Stoma Care: Assist with stoma care, including cleaning and changing stoma bags, while ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Health Care Assistant in a complex care setting.
- Competency in PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care.
- Relevant certifications and training in complex care procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
- Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS on the update service
What We Offer:
