Teaching Assistant
Step Teachers is working closely with a Primary School in New Barnet which was rated "Good" under the former Ofsted rating for schools to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time starting in November 2024. This school prides itself on their ability to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment for their students, and is committed to helping each child reach their full potential.
Teaching Assistant - Role:
- Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
- Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.
- Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
- Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream Primary classroom.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
