Electrical & Mechanical Technician - Welwyn Garden City
Planet Pharma are working with a leading pharmaceutical company, who are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Electrical/Mechanical Technician. As a Multi-Skilled Electrical/Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for planning and undertaking routine scheduled mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance of plant and/or equipment. Your role will involve monitoring the Building Management System (BMS) for running equipment and responding to alarm conditions.Prior BMS experience is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Routine mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance.
- Monitor and respond to BMS alarm conditions.
- Maintain and repair a variety of equipment (e.g., compressed air systems, boilers, HVAC, generators).
- Install and maintain lighting systems.
- Design and maintain control systems for HVAC equipment.
- Ensure proper wiring and power supply for HVAC.
- Integrate automation and BMS for optimized HVAC performance.
- Handle VSDs, motor controls, and relay logic.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Investigate electrical faults and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct maintenance in clean rooms
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience in a regulated industry.
- Experience in controlled environments, even if not on a large scale.
- Strong electrical background with BMS experience.
- Experience with lighting systems, generators, and HVAC.
- Familiarity with VSDs, motor controls, and relay logic.
- Clean room experience is a plus.
- Proactive, careful, and independent working style.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Full UK driving license and access to a car (due to on-call requirements).
