Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Join a growing company based in Peterborough. We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to ensure our accounting standards are meticulously maintained and our financial operations run smoothly.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supervise and mentor a team of accounts receivable clerks, providing necessary guidance, training, and support.
• Oversee the timely closing of accounts receivable ledgers and ensure accurate posting of month-end information.
• Manage cash receipts processing and maintain effective credit control processes to manage credit relationships.
• Monitor aged debtor balances and resolve overage balances promptly.
• Provide leadership and support to the accounts receivable team, assisting with auditing tasks and financial report preparation.
• Collaborate with retail businesses to address customer issues and disputes efficiently, aiming to reduce operational and financial impacts.
• Deliver regular reports and analysis on accounts receivable performance metrics, contributing to the wider accounting function.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in an accounts receivable role or similar financial position.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
• Ability to plan, assign tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships.
• Knowledge of accounting software and systems.
