Due to expansion and reorganisation we have a vacancy for a Production Team Leader within our Veterinary Medicine Department.
Production Team Leader
The Production Team Leader is a key member of the production management team which provides effective leadership to team members, providing direction, knowledge, motivation, support and advice to them.A high level of occupational HSE performance must be maintained and continuously improved to meet policy requirements.
The job holder must have high awareness of customer impact and ensure the manufacturing capability delivers against customer expectations
Production Team Leader Job Duties include:
- In conjunction with Production Manager, creates weekly Production Plans by scheduling and assigning plant/equipment, personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results on shift production summaries.
- Leads all aspects of operational HSE in accordance with company procedures, legal requirements and recognised good practice.
- Delivers the agreed operational production KPI targets.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting and training employees.
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations – preferably GMP
- Proven track record of successfully training and developing staff in areas of productivity, safety and quality
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, ISO 9000 & and current HSE Regulations
- Process & plant efficiency improvement
- Production Planning and reporting
- Ability to coach and mentor staff on a one-on-one basis as well as a group

- 1 in 5 Saturday to be worked
- Reports to: Production Manager
Pay: £37,440.00 per year

- Thirsk, YO7 3HR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Manufacturing FMCG: 5 years (preferred)
