Healthcare Assistant (Nights) – Surbiton
Contract: PermanentHours: Nights – 37.5 hours per week (3 x 12.5-hour shifts on a rota)
Salary: £28,860 – £31,258 per year (£14.70 – £16.00 per hour) depending on training
About the Role
We’re looking for compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our night team, delivering exceptional care and support to our residents while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety overnight.
You’ll play a vital role in supporting veterans to live fulfilling lives, promoting independence wherever possible, and providing reassurance during quieter hours when high-quality care matters most.
What You’ll Be Doing- Providing high-quality care and support to residents throughout the night
- Assisting with personal care, mobility, and comfort
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding to their needs
- Keeping accurate records of care and observations
- Supporting residents’ independence and dignity at all times
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a calm, safe environment
- Following care plans, policies, and best practice standards
- A caring, compassionate and patient nature
- Experience supporting older people or those with complex needs (including dementia)
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to learning and professional development
- Ability to work night shifts reliably
