GB Commercial Lead
Role Overview:
Are you an experienced and dynamic Commercial Leader, if so then we are looking for you to join us in leading our commercial operations across Great Britain.
This is a senior leadership position and as such you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's commercial success and ensuring the continued growth and competitiveness of our products and services in the agricultural industry.
You will take ownership of developing and executing strategic commercial plans that align with our business objectives and drive long-term sustainability.
You will be responsible for leading a diverse team, setting sales targets, and managing financial oversight to optimise profitability. The role demands a strong commercial acumen, with the ability to utilise data-driven insights to inform decision-making and improve sales performance.
You will work closely with key stakeholders across various departments, including HR, marketing, PLM, product development, finance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies.
Your ability to foster collaboration, manage complex negotiations, and influence senior stakeholders will be crucial to ensuring our business remains at the forefront of the competitive agricultural market.
Additionally, you will be instrumental in driving a customer-centric approach by building strong, profitable relationships that anticipate and exceed customer expectations. Your leadership will inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results, foster innovation, and ensure accountability.

You Will:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that support business growth, market competitiveness, and long-term sustainability.
- Lead sales and customer service teams to achieve revenue targets and deliver against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee budgeting, financial analysis, and profitability to support informed decision-making and maximize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams across HR, marketing, finance, PLM and product development to execute go-to-market plans, pricing initiatives, and product strategies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team, promoting continuous learning, development, and accountability.
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in a senior commercial leadership role, ideally within agriculture or a closely related industry.
- Strong business acumen with a proven track record of delivering growth, optimising profitability, and leading successful commercial operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams, while driving results through effective leadership and collaboration.
- A deep understanding of the agricultural market, including industry trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and persuade senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree highly desirable).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation with a focus on business development and sales growth.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage large audiences and senior leadership.
- A valid UK driving license and the ability to travel across Great Britain and occasionally internationally.
