Lead Software Engineer - Stoke-on-Trent

As a Lead Software Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Building a successful team which consistently delivers high quality solutions within defined architectures and timescales.
• Individually contributing to delivery of development.
• Helping to shape the architecture of bespoke software products and platforms to achieve non-functional and strategic goals.
• Driving process and practice improvements where you spot lacking technical maturity.

• A well-rounded Software / Data Engineer with Team Lead experience.
• Someone confident to be the face and voice of the team.
• Broad and deep technology background with experience across a range of mainly back end technology stacks.
• Extensive hands-on experience with the Microsoft Stack (C#, SQL Server, Azure including Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, functions, pipelines, web apps, App Insights, DevOps)
• Demonstrable experience with a range of modern architectures (microservices, event driven, CQRS, APIs & webhooks).
• Ability to support a range of delivery roles (project managers, delivery leads, scrum masters) in estimating, planning, and delivering complex software products and projects.
• Ability to guide complex projects to successful delivery through effective decision-making.
• Resilience and adaptability to work well in a maturing technology organisations, and to play a constructive role in driving maturity.

This role will be hybrid with two days expected onsite in Stock-on-Trent.
