Senior Financial Analyst £55k Merthyr We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes for our UK entities. This role involves detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and the development of comprehensive financial models.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Finance & Controlling team and will report directly to the Group Business Controller. Day-to-day of the role: Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability, cost, and variance analyses.Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Cost Accounting: Manage cost accounting processes to provide critical financial insights into the performance of the manufacturing site.Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting.

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.Strategic Planning: Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and business development initiatives. Evaluate financial impacts of proposed business decisions and recommend actions.Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.Business Partnership: Serve as a financial business partner for the UK entities, providing support and guidance. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance roles, with a strong background in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.High proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience with PowerBi is advantageous.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
