Position type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40

Breaks: x1 30-minute breaks and x2 15-minute break

Shift Pattern:

  1. hour days and nights. No weekend work, barring one Sunday 6pm start every 3 weeks! You will work the below pattern:

Week 1: Sunday to Tuesday 18:00 - 06:00 (3 nights followed by 5 days off)

Week 2: Monday to Tuesday 06:00 - 18:00 & Wednesday to Thursday 18:00 - 06:00 (2 days followed by 2 nights followed by 5 days off)

Week 3: Wednesday to Friday 06:00 - 18:00 (followed by 1 day off, then start again on week 1)

Pay range: (increase with skilled gained)

Grade 1 Pay Rate: £11.97 /hour (£24,897.60 equivalent)

Interviews will be held on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm.

Please note there is no public transport to get you on shift for 06:00.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safe systems of work at all times.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene tasks according to established cleaning schedules and standards.
  • Conduct all necessary Critical Control Point (CCP) checks in line with safety and quality protocols.
  • Monitor asset performance and promptly address any corrective actions needed.
  • Safely de-bag and handle all raw materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of products throughout the entire production process.
  • Adhere strictly to the production plan to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives within the work area.
  • Follow recipes with precision to ensure product consistency and quality.

Qualifications:

Essential
  • Good level of English and Maths demonstrated.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to work to targets
  • Flexibility to work within other areas of the business as required
Desirable
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (or equivalent)
  • Level 2 Health and Safety qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience of training others/coaching
  • Food industry experience
