The Healthcare Assistant will work at all times under the delegation of a registered practitioner or assistant practitioner in the delivery of person-centred care.
  • Will be responsible for following care plans and recording all personal observations and documenting personal care given in individual’s notes.
  • Assist the registered practitioner/assistant practitioner in the assessment, on-going assessment, planning, management and evaluation of care.
  • Promotion of independence and wellbeing
  • Assist patients/ clients to achieve physical and emotional wellbeing and comfort encouraging independence where appropriate.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit individuals who have experience in working with children and young people to join a dynamic team of nurses on a busy Paediatric Unit in Morriston Hospital.

They will be working with a large team delivering high quality care to the paediatric patients.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
