Clinical Director – Women Services

Vacancy – 3 Year Tenure

2 PA / 8 hours per week

Responsibility Allowance – £10K per annum

The Clinical Director will work in a triumvirate with the Associate Director of Nursing/Associate Director of Midwifery and the Divisional Manager to lead the site-based services. As part of the triumvirate the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of these services against the goals and standards for quality, safety, activity, financial management and workforce.

The Clinical Director will have a strong line of partnership working and collaboration with other senior leaders.

Our current Clinical Director has progressed to the role of Divisional Director which has created the above vacancy in our Women Services at Newham University Hospital, part of the Barts Health Group.

Essential criteria
  • A record of partnership working
  • Works at a senior clinician level
  • Experience of leadership and management
  • Experience of clinical governance and of the measures to ensure patient safety
  • Track record of innovation or transformation Interest in managing and developing staff

  • Experience of working across specialties or site
  • Establishing and sustaining effective strategic direction
  • Track record of addressing poor performance
  • Track record of achieving financial targets

  • Able to lead continuous change and improvement in services, encouraging the use of new clinical and service technologies with a multidisciplinary team.
