Your new role

Your new role will be responsible for raising significant funds through securing new business partnerships and writing successful bids and grants. This will include:

  • Developing and executing a fundraising strategy that raises funds for the charity’s research initiatives and projects.
  • Engaging potential grantees, donors, sponsors, and partners, including corporate organisations, government departments and agencies & foundations
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and fundraising that align with the charity’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • Identifying potential relevant grant and bid opportunities from government agencies, trusts and foundations, pharmaceutical organisations, charities and other funding sources.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including government, businesses, trusts and foundations, agencies, community organisations, pharmaceutical companies and other charities.
  • Collaborating with other teams and team members to align marketing and fundraising efforts to secure increasing funds through impact reports and content for the web, social media and other channels
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to enhance fundraising strategies and optimise business development efforts.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in applying for this position, you will need to have 3+ years' experience in a similar corporate fundraising or partnership role directed toward raising funds for a charity. It is also desirable that an applicant have experience in bid or grant writing to successfully raise funds.

A successful applicant will be able to work autonomously and effectively manage stakeholders of varying seniority with competing priorities. It is considered very advantageous if you have previous experience of raising funds for a research-based charity.
