JOB OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a motivated and organised individual to join us as Head of Operations. In this role, you’ll manage the company’s day-to-day operations, working closely with the CEO and executive and leadership teams to make sure our processes and infrastructure support our growth plans and our ability to deliver professional and high quality software consulting services to our customers.You’ll lead a small, close-knit team and be the go-to person for all things operations, delegating as needed. Responsibilities include streamlining processes, driving continuous improvement, overseeing HR, managing key contracts and ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
This will include supporting and cultivating a good working relationship with our parent company Trifork as well.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Operational Strategy & Planning:
- Maintain, develop, execute and implement operational strategies that align with OpenCredo's vision and goals.
- Design and implement scalable operational processes to enhance efficiency and support business growth.
- Lead the planning and coordination of operational projects to improve service delivery, customer satisfaction.
- Proactively manage and escalate operations-based to the leadership team as appropriate.
- Leadership:
- Manage and lead a small close-knit operations team, spanning office management, business development, finance and HR.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team, encouraging innovation and best practices.
- Governance, Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure our operations comply with appropriate regulatory requirements, including Legal (Data, Company Law), HSE regulations, ISO27001, ICO etc. keeping abreast of changes in the law and advising the leadership team as appropriate.
- Act as the Company Secretary which includes the legal responsibility for the financial and business reporting of the Company.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks within the business
- Maintain and manage key contracts, policies & insurance underpinning the business.
- Act as the Government/Authorities liaison.
- Client & Partner Relations:
- Oversee customer support functions to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues and delivery of services to customers.
- Develop and manage relationships with key service providers, vendors, and partners.
- Manage and maintain key contracts required for business operations (eg Office Leases, business insurance)
- Process Improvement & Automation:
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and workflows through technology and automation.
- Financial Oversight:
- Monitor operational budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency across all areas of the business.
- Analyze financial data to improve decision-making and increase profitability through operational efficiency.
- Oversee management of Bank contract(s), conduct client credit checks
- KPI Management & Reporting:
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations, regularly reporting to the CEO and board on performance metrics.
- Utilize data-driven insights to drive operational improvements and ensure company objectives are met.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments such as Delivery, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, as well as with our parent company to ensure operational alignment across the business and group of companies.
- Experience in a senior operations role: Proven experience managing and operating in a fast paced and changeable environment.
- Compliance & Risk Management: A proven track record of having worked with, maintained and implemented governance & compliance processes covering areas such as Company law, Health & Safety (HSE), Data protection (GDPR), ISO27001, Cyber Essentials etc.
- Board Management: Company Secretarial experience including liasoning, operating and handling board level and company filing requirements
- Comfortable working with all levels within a business, from technical consultants to C-Suite, with high levels of empathy for their priorities and decision-making factors.
- Committed to the long-term plan to grow and align the business with a willingness and pragmatism to pursue early gains through tactical means as necessary while contributing to the long-term strategy.
- A passion for self and team development to continually enhance skills and increase the capacity for growth, together with the commitment to uphold our principles, collaborate proactively, and engage in healthy challenge/conflict to drive the best decisions and outcomes for the business.
- Understanding of business and the application of technology to help optimise processes and enhance customer service and delivery.
- Experience in the technology sector, ideally within the software development consulting space is desirable
