Breakdown Controller - Maidstone
As our Breakdown Controller, you will be managing roadside and onsite breakdowns for both plant and vehicle assets, as well as continually monitoring our live web-based telematics and defect portal.
The duties of our Breakdown Controller will include:
- Accepting emergency roadside and onsite breakdowns on vans, HGV and plant assets, having the capability and confidence to effectively communicate, guide and prioritise on the reported problem
- Monitoring of vehicle telematics and defecting system, identifying, and prioritising actions required to close out defect
-Ensuring that each event is managed through to completion, by accurately logging all details electronically on our fleet maintenance software, allocating in a timely manner to either our internal resource or a network of third-party suppliers and manufacturers
- Ensuring that breakdowns and urgent defects are progress chased and that communication of work progress is made as required
- Closing and invoicing job cards
- Raising purchase orders and receipting to allow invoice matching
- Providing data for fleet compliance audits
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for a professional and confident candidate, who has experience of communicating with a variety of people via telephone, email, and face to face. It is essential that the successful applicant has previous experience in a breakdown controller role, or similar position.
