Fire Safety Advisor – Part Time (22.5 hrs/week)

Join the Fire Safety Team at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS), based at Ash Green, Chesterfield.

We’re seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with significant experience in fire protection and prevention. You’ll provide specialist fire safety advice to staff, managers, and directors across a varied estate. Experience in undertaking fire risk assessments is essential.

Main duties of the job

You must have strong knowledge of current fire safety legislation, Building Control guidance, and healthcare fire codes, and be a member of a relevant professional body (e.g. Institution of Fire Engineers).

To deliver fire safety services using your professional expertise, conduct risk assessments, and support compliance with statutory obligations. Ensuring robust fire safety systems, policies, and procedures are in place is key. You will also provide professional fire safety training and advice across the Trust.

A relevant training qualification or proven experience in delivering training is required.

Applicants must be able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business use.
