Senior Buyer - 9 month FTC
Your new company
My client is an innovative developer and manufacturer of business solutions equipment and systems. They are now looking to recruit for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Buyer to join the team on a fixed contract for 9 months (plus possible extension).They offer the flexibility of hybrid working after the initial few weeks (2 days working from home).
Your new role
The Senior Buyer, reporting to the Materials Manager, will partner the operations team and be responsible for the sourcing and procurement of components and parts used in the manufacturing process. You will manage the MRP system and produce management reports, expedite orders, anticipate risks and resolve supply chain issues.The Senior Buyer will also negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier performance. Additionally, you will act as a point of escalation within the team and key point of contact for stakeholders across the business.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a Senior Buyer with experience gained in the manufacturing sector. You will have strong MRP/ERP management, sourcing and negotiation, purchasing, supply chain management, and supplier management experience. Additionally, you'll have strong communication skills and be a strong team player.It is preferred that you are CIPS qualified or studying towards the qualification.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 plus benefits. They will also offer a contractual bonus payable on successful completion of the contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation which is ambitious but which also greatly values its employees.
