Job overview

The Regional Rehabilitation Unit is a 24-bedded level 1 unit offering multi-disciplinary assessment and rehabilitation to patients with complex neurological needs. The Unit has a strong commitment to research and education in the field of neurorehabilitation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative physiotherapist to join our dynamic team of physiotherapy staff. Please see the attached job description.

Main duties of the job

You will have the opportunity to expand your specialist clinical skills in all aspects of acute neurorehabilitation including spasticity management, postural management, neuro-orthotics (including splinting/casting), assessment of awareness, complex tracheostomy weaning, and NMES.

You will be actively encouraged to continue your professional development through internal and external opportunities.

Working hours currently cover Monday to Friday, with no on-call commitments.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • wide range of band 5/ post graduate junior experience
Desirable criteria
  • band 6 NHS experience
  • experience of PDOC

knowledge

  • Caseload knowledge - PDOC, trache, spasticity knowledge

  • training to date - course attendance
