Job Description- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of maintenance engineers to ensure high levels of productivity and safety.
- Provide coaching and guidance, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
- Plan and delegate maintenance tasks to team members based on priority and skill level.
- Oversee both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime.
- Ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, in compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify the reliability and safety of equipment.
- Provide hands-on technical assistance in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues.
- Utilise advanced troubleshooting skills to solve maintenance challenges and support team members in technical problem-solving.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on maintenance schedules and project deadlines.
- Identify areas for improvement in maintenance practices, implementing new processes to increase efficiency.
- Drive initiatives focused on lean manufacturing and equipment reliability, tracking progress and assessing outcomes.
- Monitor and manage maintenance inventory levels, ensuring spare parts and equipment are available as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials, tools, and equipment in a timely manner.
- Enforce adherence to company health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure the team follows safety protocols and company policies.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Team Leader, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance, including PLCs, control systems, and industrial machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices, with knowledge of industry regulations.
- Salary: £51k
- Shift Pattern: 2 days, 2 Nights, 4 off
- Working Hours: 7-7
