Main responsibilities:
- The supervision and day to day monitoring of the quality of Malcolm Allan Products
- Ensuring the quality of not only the finished product, but the production process and factory environment
- Adhering to GMP standards and enforcing the site’s food safety and hygiene policies
- Ensuring achievement against customer and internal audits relating to QC matters
- Ensuring that methods of working focused around reducing compliance and quality failures
- Support with the inspection and testing of incoming raw materials and finished products
- Overseeing packaging and labelling checks
- Ensuring the production line staff adhere to good manufacturing practice including line clean downs / product change-overs / allergen controls and metal detection
- Identify and agree necessary corrective actions when non-conformity is identified.
- Investigate customer complaints and foreign body findings
- Assisting with preparation for audits
