PERMANENT ROLE – SUNDAY TO THURSDAY – £35,100.00 PER ANNUM
Wincanton is offering the opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Lorry Driver to join our delivery team out of our Portbury site in Bristol.- £35,100.00 per annum
- £14.06 - basic hourly rate
- Start time - 15:00
- 48 hours per week
- Sunday to Thursday
- Working as a 2-man delivery team
- £18.75 - overtime rate for hours worked over 48
- 31 days annual leave holiday excluding bank holidays
This is a manual job with some heavy lifting.
How will you contribute?- Between 4 to 7 deliveries drops per day on average.
- Safely driving a Class 2 Vehicle, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation.
- Delivering to our New Look retail stores across the South West and South Wales including unloading the vehicle at delivery points.
- Collecting and logging returns.
- Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies.
- Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects.
- Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured.
- Must have valid in date Class 2 licence
- Must have valid in date CPC
- Must hold Digital tachograph card
- Must have minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- Must not have more than 6 points on licence
- Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
- Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
- Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
- Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
- Must have a good geographical knowledge
