Press Brake Operator
CNC Recruitment are seeking for skilled Press Break Operators for our client in Bridport area - a well-respected engineering company specialised in Sheet Metal, Fabrication, Machining, Finishing and Assembly & Integration
As a Press Brake Operator, your primary responsibility is to operate machinery used for bending and shaping metal sheets and plates according to precise specifications. You will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by producing high-quality metal components that meet the required specifications and standards.
Responsibilities:- Machine Setup:
Set up and calibrate Amada press brake machine based on job specifications (e.g., adjusting bend angles, material thickness, die selections).
Conduct test runs to ensure machine setup is correct before full production.
- Operation:
Inspect the first piece, make adjustments as necessary, and ensure that production matches quality standards.
Monitor machine performance during operation and address any operational issues.
- Quality Control:
Ensure that parts meet specified tolerances and customer requirements.
Perform regular inspections to ensure consistency and quality in production runs.
- Maintenance:
Troubleshoot and repair minor machine issues or report more serious problems to maintenance personnel.
- Documentation:
Complete work orders and other documentation as required by company procedures.
- Safety:
Follow all safety protocols when operating the machine and working on the production floor.
Ensure that all safety guards and equipment are in place before operation.Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
Skills and Qualifications:- Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and materials.
- Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Experience:
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and related equipment.
- Attention to Detail:
Strong problem-solving skills to adjust machine settings and processes.

- Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
