Job Description

Key responsibilities for Finance Business Partner:

  • Provide sound financial advice to department leaders.
  • Analyse and interpret complex financial data to aid decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor spending and identify areas for cost saving.
  • Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the organisation.
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • A professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the public sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and financial management software.
