An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join an outstanding secondary school in Bedford. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about technology and can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 based on experience.This role involves delivering high-quality lessons, fostering students' digital skills, and preparing them for a technology-driven world.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons at KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 teaching.
- Lesson Planning: Design lessons that cover key Computer Science principles, including programming, data handling, and system design.
- Student Assessment: Track and assess student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support their growth and understanding.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate within the department to develop the Computer Science curriculum, integrating new advancements and best practices.
- School Involvement: Participate actively in department meetings, contribute to the school’s initiatives, and promote a collaborative learning environment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. Experience teaching Computer Science at KS3 and KS4 is essential, and KS5 experience is an advantage. You should be passionate about technology, skilled at simplifying complex topics, and committed to supporting student success.
