Trainee Print Press Operator (4 day week)

As part of a small, high-performing team, you will play a crucial role in achieving daily production goals in terms of quality and quantity, meeting customer expectations while optimising efficiency.
During your day-to-day role, you will receive the support you need to develop and enhance your skills. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn about print production. We are more interested in your potential than in finding someone who is already the finished article.
They Offer- £24,000 per annum

What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Production Team Leader, you will work in various areas of production under a level of supervision. In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate production equipment
- Monitor the production process and conduct quality checks
- Clean and perform basic maintenance on work areas and machines
- Report equipment faults to your Supervisor
- Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement
- Provide support to the Production Manager

- Previous experience as a skilled or semi-skilled production/machine operator
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions

- Basic computer skills
- A willingness to take responsibility for ensuring quality control and adherence to company procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Initiative to work independently when necessary
- A safety-first attitude
- A good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of quality
- A desire to develop skills and knowledge to support business needs
- Monday to Wednesday 06:00 - 16:00, Thursday 06:00 - 15:30
