Teaching Personnel are working with a local SEN school, to help find Teaching Assistants to join a small class of pupils who have Special Educational Needs.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a small, supportive class in a mainstream comprehensive school in Bargoed.

About the role:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils aged 11-16 with a range of SEN.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist pupils in their academic, emotional, and social development.
  • Monitor and report progress, ensuring that each child achieves their full potential.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEN (preferred).
  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills.
  • A commitment to the well-being and development of each child.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are an advantage but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
