Are you looking for an exciting role that is fun, diverse and rewarding every day?Despite my different health conditions, including autoimmune disorders, I am a 49-year-old lady with great humour and a light spirit. These, among others, include fibromyalgia and Addissons Disease. I also have mobility issues and use a crutch indoors and an electric wheelchair outdoors.
I am semi-retired and work as a counsellor 4 days a week in the afternoons. I have many hobbies, such as photography, building dollhouses, and quilting. However, as with this, I can get depressed at times.
As a Personal Assistant, you will need to be enthusiastic about communicating with and supporting me in a person-centred manner.
I am looking for a personal assistant (female due to the nature of personal care work) for:- Tuesday,
- Wednesdays or, Thursdays at 8:30am
to complement the position of another two Personal Assistant for a permanent contract.
The schedule requested from you would be as follows:- Tuesdays: 4.5 hours
- Wednesday or Thursdays: 2 ¼ hours
- Preparing breakfast,
- helping with personal care (shower/dressing),
- and preparing a hot meal with "Hello Fresh".
- You will also remind me to take my medication and prepare my lunch pack for work.
- On The Tuesday it also includes cleaning of the house, particularly of the areas used by myself.
- You MUST like dogs and cats as I have two very friendly cocker spaniels and two cuddly cats.
- Working as part of a team and covering the other personal assistant when they are sick or on holiday is also essential on the other days of the week as and when required.
- This is an employed position organised by Social Services. Pay rate is £17.52 per hour (subject to NI and Tax deductions).
- Using technology such as a Google Calendar and a WhatsApp group to communicate is necessary for this job.
An interview will take place at my home when convenient for both parties. When a time is suggested, if not suitable, please suggest suitable times for you (Monday or Friday PM, if possible, as I do not work then).
