This is an opportunity for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to work in a Recovery Orientated Community Forensic Team. The role combines clinical and leadership skills including leading on the OT provision for the service, as well as input into the overall therapy service working closely with the Lead Psychologist and other members of the team.

You will hold a referral-based clinical caseload providing occupational focused assessment and intervention to support individuals to live full and meaningful lives in the community. The role involves working across a number of boroughs with a

number of professionals and as such would suit someone who enjoys variety in their role and is able to be flexible and autonomous. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in mental health / forensic setting and / or a community team.

Lead Occupational Therapist for the Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopment Disabilities- North East London (FIND NEL Service). The purpose of this role is to provide clinical leadership to the Occupational Therapy department and wider therapies within the community team, working closely with the Lead Clinical Psychologist.

Alongside this the post holder will oversee Occupational Therapy provision and hold a complex caseload, providing specialist input.

  1. To provide clinical leadership for Occupational Therapy within the Community Forensic team.
  2. To be operationally responsible for the day-to-day running of the Occupational Therapy service including assessment and treatment pathways, within the Community Forensic Team.
  3. To provide line management and supervision to relevant posts within the Community Forensic Service
  4. To develop and maintain relationships with community providers including education and employment sectors.
  5. To assist the Lead Clinical Psychologist with the planning and development of the wider Community Forensic Therapies service.
  6. To work across a number of boroughs in the East London area and demonstrate flexibility and autonomy.
