THE ROLE
A Claims Defence Lawyer is sought to join the market leading Local Government Practice.
Acting on behalf of various local authorities and their insurers, your primary role will be to manage your own caseload, and assist senior fee earners on their cases.
Your caseload will include an interesting mix of pre litigated and litigated claims including Highways Law, Occupiers Liability, Employers Liability, and Housing disrepair.
You will have the opportunity to upskill and assist on data breach claims, human rights and equality act, subsidence and flooding cases.
ABOUT YOU
NQ-2pqe you will have previous claims handling experience and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work.
As the role is varied, you will need to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks.
Preferably experience of defending litigated claims but candidates who have Claimant litigation experience will also considered
Excellent knowledge of the CPR and litigation
Ability to influence a broad range of people including key decision makers
Excellent IT, written and communication and time management and organisation skills
