We're looking for a corporate communications manager to join our communications team on a 6-month secondment.

In this role, we'll look to you to help us to manage our outstanding reputation, by engaging in a wide range of corporate communications activity. You'll be working closely with exec colleagues as well as the media, to write compelling copy for a variety of events.

We'll also look to you to support with interviews and comms activity, as well as creating engaging and compelling content for us to share some of the great work that Co-op are doing with a range of external audiences. What you'll do:

  • Source and write compelling copy for a range of corporate activity, including speeches, for internal and external events, copy for our financial results and Co-op's AGM, and other significant co-op wide materials including presentations and colleague communications
  • Co-ordinate content and timetable for social media activity for CEO accounts, working closely with a number of stakeholders
  • Lead and manage the production of our Annual Report
  • Get involved in a number of key corporate projects and initiatives both from a communications advisory and content creation perspective

This role would suit people who have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience of writing business and financial copy
  • Strong experience of content creation for internal and external audiences
  • The ability to stay calm and work effectively under pressure
  • The ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with a range of key colleagues and partners up to executive level
