Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are seeking motivated, dynamic Healthcare Support Workers to join our Bank, who will complement our current experienced and specialist workforce, who are passionate about providing optimal care for our patients.

Main duties of the job

Our Trust is looking for experienced Healthcare Support Workers with a minimum of 12 months experience in a Hospital, Residential or Care home setting, who are able to work effectively in a variety of different Adult wards and departments and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

After a qualifying period, our Bank Healthcare Support Worker role offers a variety of shifts including early, late, long day and night shifts with flexibility to support a positive and flexible work life balance.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Literacy level 1 or equivalent (GCSE D-G, 3-6).
  • Numeracy level 1 or equivalent (GCSE D-G, 3-6).
  • The Care Certificate
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent or above in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards an award
  • ESOL level 2 or equivalent (if English not first language)

Experience & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Experience in a public facing/customer care role or environment
  • A minimum of 12 months care experience
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience in a Health/Health and Social Care role
  • Previous NHS experience / Understanding of NHS/Social care systems

Skills & Ability

Essential criteria
  • Good written and verbal communication in the English language
