SEN Teaching Assistant
Ideally this SEN TEaching Assistant position will require you to have a Teaching Assistant qualification to at least Level 2 but if not another relevant education qualification such as a PGCE or Youth Work qualification is needed. We can provide level 2 TA training if required at a subsidised cost.
Although the role is classed as supply, given the nature of the School, they strongly believe in the students being around the same people, on a consistent basis. Therefore, there is a probability of continued work, year round.At all times you will, be working with other experienced Teaching Assistants and the class teacher.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant candidate would:- Have good classroom management skills
- Have a passion for supporting the learning of pupils
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Be able to organise themselves and work well within a team
- Have had previous experience working with ASD pupils
- Provide two referees we can contact
- Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
