Maintenance Engineer

• Annual Salary: £42,000
• Location: Aberdare
• Job Type: Full-time, 4 on 4 Off

Reed are recruiting for experienced Maintenance Technician to join a Maintenance Department in Aberdare. The ideal candidate will be part of a small team, working a continuous shift pattern to implement effective maintenance programmes in a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Maintain, repair, and fault find on plant and machinery using various maintenance disciplines.
• Contribute toward machine efficiency and development programmes using existing maintenance programmes and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies, including 5 why analysis.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and identify and implement action plans needed to stop reoccurring faults.
• Completion of Risk Assessments and equipment isolation procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in a busy, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Must have served a recognised apprenticeship in a suitable discipline, ideally educated to HNC level.
