Welfare Assistant – Nelson Primary School (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
Start Date: After February Half-Term
A Nelson Primary School is seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Welfare Assistant to join our team and provide vital support during lunchtime. This is a part-time position offering hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the supervision and welfare of students during lunchtime.
- Ensure that children are eating in a safe, calm, and respectful environment.
- Support children with their social interaction and behavior.
- Assist in managing the lunchtime activities and play areas.
- Promote positive behavior and ensure the safety of all students.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A friendly, approachable personality with a passion for supporting children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with children in a positive way.
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting (desirable but not essential).
- A proactive and responsible attitude.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
