Early Years or Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant

Lady Barn House School is a thriving independent day preparatory school for boys and girls aged 3 to 11. There are currently around 490 pupils on roll. Lady Barn House School are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced EYFS or Keys Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to commence from 1 September 2025. This post is fixed term for one year in the first instance to cover absence.
The post involves being the Teaching Assistant working the pupils and teachers to support the learning and development of our children. Each class at Lady Barn has around 24 children, with a roughly equal split of boys and girls.
We also require the successful applicant to work as a Holiday Club Assistant in Barney’s Breakout. The holiday club is open all year round, with the exception of the Christmas holidays. Applications for term-time only hours will be considered.
The successful applicants must have an excellent rapport with young children, be committed to the highest standards of educational provision and be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of Lady Barn House School.
The hours of work are 8.15am to 4.15pm, all year round.
Please note that, at particularly busy periods, it may be necessary or desirable for the Teaching Assistants to support a class in another part of the school.
