Responsibilities- Work closely with the relevant R&D teams to ensure clinical research activity within UHS is initiated efficiently.
- Ensure workload is carried out in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the UK Policy for Health and Social Care Research and current legislation.
- Manage a portfolio of studies at various stages in the approval pipeline, requiring the ability to prioritise and adjust plans according to Divisional and Trust requirements/strategy.
- Assist R&D teams with study set-up to ensure accuracy and timeliness and provide the correct level of assistance to achieve this aim, which may vary from team to team.
- Healthcare background
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft applications for managing and analysing information, e.g. Word and Excel
- Relevant experience in conducting or organising clinical research trials
- Awareness of current legislation regarding research governance issues
