The Role for Projects Information Manager

Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading tier 1 contractor that specialise in the construction of some of the UK's largest construction development projects across the residential & commercial space with new build projects valued in excess of 100 million pounds.

The role will involve heading up the control and management of the flow of information across major construction projects within the region with a specific focus on maintaining the electronic document control system along with the management & organisation of project folders & information within their internal server.

Responsibilities for Projects Information Manager
  • Manage & identify contractual requirements for document control across all projects to ensure implementation & compliance
  • Establish & maintain Asite System to meet the needs of the projects & office based teams & provide technical support & guidance to users to ensure smooth user experience
  • Line management, support, guidance & training of a team of Document Controllers
  • Lead the implementation, review & management of snagging platforms
  • Undertake QA Checks & compliance & identify contractual requirements in relation to document control to ensure work is carried out in accordance with client & project requirements
  • Ensure completion of O & M Manuals in line with project requirements
  • Monitor & develop the information management & structure of project folders across the company server
Experience Required for Projects Information Manager
  • Proven track record & background experience as a Document Controller/ Manager or Information Management within a construction / main contractor environment
  • Ideally have an understanding of the design & build process and how projects develop through the construction stages
  • Previous experience of establishing ASite CDE & detailed working knowledge of Asite
  • Line management experience / ability to train & guide document controllers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with site / office teams, senior management, clients & consultants.
  • Excellent IT skills - proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Effective time management skills, able to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Relevant professional qualification
  • NVQ or equivalent
